YEREVAN. – Montenegro plans to develop cooperation with Armenia on tourism, Foreign Minister Igor Lukšič said during his trip to Yerevan.

At the Tuesday briefing, Lukšič said the states have good relations and potential for the development.

“During the meeting with Armenian FM, we agreed to intensify the dialogue. The current visit and exchange of permanent diplomatic representatives will promote cooperation development,” Montenegro official said. “We have focused on economic issues, discussed prospects for signing of an agreement to develop economic ties, including removal of double taxation.”  

Congratulating Armenia on assuming presidency in the Council of Europe, Lukšič noted that it is a very important period for the country.

He named tourism as a priority direction to develop relationship with Armenia, adding that the country plans to apply flexible visa regime during summer period.   

“We plan to hold a business forum in Montenegro. It is an important event in terms of establishing contacts and exchange of experience,” he added.
