YEREVAN. – The visit to Armenia by Igor Lukšić, the Montenegro Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, is a good occasion and opportunity to discuss bilateral relations.

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated the aforesaid during his joint news conference Tuesday with his Montenegrin counterpart. 

“This is a good opportunity to discuss the establishment of a legal [and] contractual framework, [and] to invigorate the political discourse,” Nalbandian noted.   

He added that the FMs of Armenia and Montenegro have had several meetings within international organizations. 

“Cooperation in several directions, development of economic relations, [and] education matters were discussed. Issues of regional and international importance were examined, too. I informed Igor Lukšić about the [current] efforts by Armenia and the international community toward [a pacific settlement to] the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, [and] he informed about the situation in the Balkans,” Armenia’s FM noted. 

Edward Nalbandian added that the matters of mutual interest will continue to be discussed during the working lunch.
