YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan on Tuesday received newly appointed Finland’s Ambassador to Armenia Christer Michelsson (residence in Helsinki).
Welcoming the Ambassador, Premier Sargsyan said Armenia is interested in expanding and strengthening of relationship with Finland, pointing out economic contacts.
In this context, the sides underscored importance of successful end of talks on Armenia- EU Association Agreement and free trade area.
Tigran Sargsyan named prospective cooperation in the field of communication technologies. He invited Finnish companies to Armenia in order to get familiarized with local and international IT companies.
Ambassador Michelsson spoke about his country’s economic development and expressed readiness to share their experience.
They also discussed reforms carried out with the assistance of the EU, the settlement of Karabakh conflict and other matters.
