YEREVAN. – The bankruptcy process of Armavia Airline Company, which is Armenia’s national carrier, has brought forth several problems.
One of these problems is how the country’s war veterans and their equals will fly from now on.
In the past, the state-funded coupons for one free flight for these persons were provided by way of Armavia. But the airline company suspended its flights as of April 1 and declared about starting a process of bankruptcy.
As a result, the veterans will be deprived of the opportunity for a free flight.
The matter as to how these coupons will now be used is still unresolved. But it is apparent that, with their current pensions, the veterans are unable to head abroad even at least once a year.
