YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan sent a formal letter to the Public Services Regulatory Commission, in connection with reviewing the price of natural gas being supplied to consumers.

Sargsyan himself stated the aforesaid during Thursday’s Cabinet session. He recalled that, with a petition by ArmRusGazprom Company, Armenia will receive Russian natural gas at a price of $270 per 1,000 cubic meters.

“We record in my letter that the Government of Armenia will subsidize the price of natural gas by 30 percent. In addition, the socially insecure families will receive assistance, so that the rise in the price of gas would not have a negative impact on the family budget,” Sargsyan said.

The PM also noted that open and public discussions will be held on this matter, and all political parties and NGOs can partake in these talks.
