YEREVAN. – Armenian government’s plans to increase minimum wages will affect small business, head of Armenia’s Republican Union of Employers said.

Gagik Makaryan said the government presented a program, according to which the minimum wage must grow from AMD 10,000 to 45,000 starting from 1 July.

However, representatives of the small business entities will not be able to increase wages in the context of rise in gas price, Makrayan said.

According to his forecast, small business entities will have to increase wages of nearly 90,000 people.
