The citizens of the countries that are members in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) [which includes Armenia] may be required an invitation to enter the Russian Federation (RF).
Director Konstantin Romodanovsky of the RF Federal Migration Service stated the aforesaid during a press conference on Wednesday.
“In my view, the visa system is not so topical today. The matter of entry upon invitations may be discussed,” he said, RIA Novosti News Agency of Russia reports.
Romodanovsky noted, however, that this is a complicated matter that requires additional work.
