Through a framework agreement on Karabakh conflict settlement an attempt to save faces of Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents’ faces will be made, which is a simple lie to their people, said first Armenian president, ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan at today’s rally.

According to him, this is how the incoming data saying the drafted framework agreement on Karabakh conflict settlement will comprise clauses that parties are not agreed upon yet can be explained. “That is as we speak, the issue on return of 5 out of 7 regions to Azerbaijan is resolved, which is a security zone around NKR. The rest issues in the agreement – deployment of peacemakers, control over the Lachin corridor and NKR status will be stipulated as follows: both sides’ stance will be outlined, which will enable to interpret everything in their own way. By now we see how different Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities’ interpretations over the right for self-determination and preservation of principle of territorial integrity are,” ANC leader maintained.

One gets the impression that after the last meeting of Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani presidents in Sochi the parties found a key to the problem solution and disagreed points. Things will get clear in the near future," Ter-Petrosyan concluded.
