YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday was on hand at the swearing-in ceremony of Taron Margaryan, the newly elected Mayor of capital city Yerevan.
The President congratulated, Margaryan, the members of Yerevan’s newly-elect Council of Elders, and Yerevan Municipality staff, in connection with assuming their new duties, the President’s Press Office informs. He expressed confidence that they will perform this accountable work with honor.
Also, Sargsyan thanked all Yerevan residents for their trust in Margaryan.
“I am convinced that now is the right time for Taron Margaryan and his team members to increase their energy,” the President said.
Reflecting on the Armenian capital city’s challenges, Serzh Sargsyan noted that are no unsolvable and solvable problems, but rather difficult problems that can be resolved through work.
The President expressed confidence that if Taron Margaryan, his team members, and the Yerevan Council of Elders continue to enjoy the Yerevan residents’ trust, they can do a lot.
“I have faith that the Yerevan Council of Elders will be able to make Yerevan become more comfy, pleasant, [and] beautiful,” Serzh Sargsyan specifically noted.
