YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday visited the Russian Federation (RF) Embassy in Yerevan, in connection with Russia Day—the RF national holiday—, and congratulated Ambassador Ivan Volinkin and the Embassy staff on this occasion.  

Also, the President issued messages of congratulations to RF President Vladimir Putin and PM Dmitry Medvedev, the Armenian President’s Press Office informs.   

In his message to Putin, President Sargsyan stressed that the allied relations between Armenia and Russia are developing, and the friendship between the two peoples and their desire to build partnership are at the basis of these relations.  

In his message to Medvedev, the President noted that Russia Day reflects the country’s radical reforms, which have contributed to the development of Russia.

In addition, Serzh Sargsyan wished success, peace and prosperity to Russia’s top leaders and its people.
