YEREVAN. – Armenia is among the world’s five countries whose state budget expenditures have become completely transparent.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said the aforementioned on Friday, while speaking at the Open Government Partnership-Armenia international conference. 

To note, Sargsyan meant that the Government of Armenia official website (e-gov.am) makes it possible to follow the country’s state budget expenditures on a daily basis. 

But as per the PM, the degree of public oversight toward the use of state means is insufficient.      

“We receive daily media information that the budget is squandered, but the [respective] evidential part is missing,” Sargsyan said. 

In his view, the lack of professionalism is the reason behind this situation. According to Tigran Sargsyan, people often do not seek to obtain knowledge to make more valid criticisms.
