YEREVAN. – Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan on Wednesday received the Russian Federation’s (RF) newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Ivan Volinkin. 

The interlocutors discussed the avenues for expanding cooperation between both countries, specifically in judicial relations.    

As per Tovmasyan, to this end, it is first necessary to draw attention to shared problems and to find common solutions to these matters, the Justice Ministry press service informs. 

In his turn Ambassador Volinkin assured that he will make all efforts to further broaden Armenian-Russian collaboration. 

Tovmasyan informed the RF ambassador that Armenian capital city Yerevan will host this fall the regular session of the CIS Justice Ministers’ Council, during which the ways for expanding cooperation will be explored.     

Subsequently, and upon the request of the Russian diplomat, Hrayr Tovmasyan presented some details about the ongoing legal and judicial reforms in Armenia.
