YEREVAN. – Former soldier of the Armenian army Manvel Hazroyan, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, hanged himself in solitary confinement unit.

His body was found in Nubarashen penitentiary on Wednesday evening. Hazroyan was brought to solitary confinement unit because of refusing to obey the legal demands of jail employees.

Court of general jurisdiction of Armenia’s Syunik Region sentenced Hazroyan to life imprisonment in 2011 for killing four and wounding three of his co-servicemen.
