YEREVAN. – The Armenian National Seismic Protection Service provided earthquake information on Monday at 2:38pm. 

In line with this data, a 2.9-magnitude quake hit Armenia, 7 kilometers southwest of Spitak city, at 2:16pm.

The tremor measured magnitude 4 at the epicenter area, and its hypocenter was 10 kilometers beneath the surface, the Rescue Service informed. 

According to preliminary information, the earthquake was felt—with magnitude 3—in Vanadzor and Spitak cities.
