YEREVAN. – The former employees of Armavia Airline Company staged another protest in front of the company office on Tuesday, and they again demanded their unpaid salaries for several months (PHOTOS).
In the words of one ex-employee, 60-70 percent of the former workers of Armavia—which was Armenia’s national carrier which announced about starting a bankruptcy process—have left the country in the hope of finding a job abroad.
“We don’t want to leave [Armenia]; we want to work here. But if we do not get such opportunity, we, too, will have to leave,” an Armavia pilot said.
The protesters were stating that Armavia proprietor Mikhail Baghdasarov does not pay their salaries intentionally because they have raised this issue before the President and are holding protests.
Also, the ex-employees of Armavia plan to petition to the court.
To note, the Armavia office doors were closed during the protest and no one received the demonstrators.
Subsequently, they headed toward the Government building on a protest march.
