Trade and economic cooperation with Poland is important for Armenia, President Serzh Sargsyan said at a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart Bronisław Komorowski.

“Today we had a meaningful and effective discussion with President Komorowski on strengthening of bilateral cooperation, development prospects, as well as on a number of international issues of mutual interest,” he said.  .

The sides noted that in recent years the Armenian-Polish interstate relations were marked by the progressive development of bilateral ties, intensification of official visits, including at the presidential level.

As regards to increasing trade turnover, Armenia pins hope on Armenian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission and the Armenian-Polish commerce chamber.

The sides also discussed prospects for cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, one of the sponsors of which is Poland.
