YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Lithuania’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Erikas Petrikas.
Sargsyan congratulated the ambassador on his appointment, the Armenian Government press service informs.
“We hope that your activities will give new impetus to the development of Armenian-Lithuanian relations. We underscore the establishment of new ties and the interaction,” the PM noted
In his turn, the Lithuanian ambassador spoke about the prerequisites and the planned projects toward bringing investments.
Also, Petrikas informed about Lithuania’s assistance to Armenia’s European integration in the margins of the EU Eastern Partnership and to the ongoing reforms in the country.
The PM thanked Lithuania for its balanced position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the Lithuanian MPs for their initiative to form a friendship group with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, or Artsakh.
