YEREVAN. – The authorities of Armenia have started to fight for the exploitation of the country’s resources and, now, the ruling Republican Party exploits them single-handedly.     

Opposition Heritage Party Vice-Chairman, capital city Yerevan Council of Elders member Armen Martirosyan stated the aforesaid during a press conference on Wednesday. 

“They removed the PAP [i.e., Prosperous Armenia Party] from the coalition [government], since the resources of the country would not have been enough for two [political] parties. Now, there is an intraparty battle for their exploitation,” the opposition member added. 

In Martirosyan’s view, Armenia’s system of governance needs radical changes and the country’s state system is very weak. Also, he noted that even if whichever of the sides comes out as the winner in this battle, the resources still will be managed single-handedly.
