Romania’s Economy Minister Varujan Vosganian on Monday visited Armenian St.Hripsime church in Vienna.
During the trip organized jointly by the Armenian and Romanian Embassies in Vienna, Vosganian visited Armenian school and kindergarten. He also met with leaders of the Armenian community structures in Austria.
Vosganian was received by Armenian Ambassador to Austria Arman Kirakosyan, patriarchal delegate of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Central Europe and Sweden monk Tigran Petrosyan, the new head of the church community Rubina Ghazarian.
In his speech, the Minister touched upon the problems the Armenian communities are facing in various European countries and answered questions from the audience. He urged the Armenian communities of Europe to work closely together in the interests of preserving the Armenian identity and the threat of assimilation.
