YEREVAN. – “If you get the chance to see [CSTO Secretary General Nikolay] Bordyuzha, tell him: ‘You stated, on the very next day of Hayrikyan’s shooting, that it is doubtful whether or not this is an assassination attempt.”’

Armenia’s opposition National Self-Determination Union (NSU) Chairman, ex-presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan—who survived an assassination attempt that was staged against him on January 31—noted the abovementioned during a press conference on Friday.

“How can you explain this provocative statement of yours? Why do you speak on behalf of the organizers of the assassination attempt, from the very beginning?” Hayrikyan indirectly asked the CSTO chief.

Incidentally, the NSU leader came to the press conference in the accompaniment of security law enforcement officers.

“The law enforcement officers are allocated to me at the initiative of the state, to ensure security for me. All of you know that the main instructor [of the assassination attempt] is not yet exposed, whereas the intermediary instructor [i.e., ex-presidential candidate, non-party affiliate, and epic poetry specialist Vardan Sedrakyan, who is imprisoned and charged with organizing the attempted murder of Hayrikyan] says he is not [the instructor]; this means he who initiated all this is still operating,” Hayrikyan maintained.

Paruyr Hayrikyan continues to believe that the instructor of the assassination attempt is the “imperialist KGB” of Russia.
