YEREVAN. – Armenian Chamber of Control (CC) Chairman Ishkhan Zakaryan’s recent annual report created a quite interesting situation within the authorities, Zhamanak daily reports.

“According to Zhamanak’s information, the authorities are looking for ways out of this situation. Our sources close to the authorities inform that [President] Serzh Sargsyan will convene a consultation meeting today [i.e., Saturday] at the Presidential Residence, with the participation of several senior officials, [and] with respect to the infringements the CC had exposed.    

“At the presence of the persons in charge, they will discuss the infringements in a variety of domains, and where penalties will be applied, criminal cases will be opened, etc.,” Zhamanak writes.
