YEREVAN. – An Armenian delegation, led by Mayor Taron Margaryan of capital city Yerevan, is visiting Saint Petersburg, Russia, from Wednesday to Saturday.  

The delegation is attending the Yerevan Days celebrations that are underway in this Russian city.  

On Wednesday, Margaryan first visited the Peter and Paul Fortress, which is a part of the State Museum of Saint Petersburg History, the Yerevan Municipality press service informs.   

Subsequently, the hosts invited the mayor to Naryshkin Bastion of the fortress as, according to a centuries-old tradition, a cannon is fired each noon from this bastion. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was reserved he right to fire a cannon at noon on Wednesday.
