YEREVAN. – The official opening of the 2013 Diaspora Summer School of Armenia’s Diaspora Ministry will be held on July 9 in Tsaghkadzor city.

Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan likewise will be on hand at the event.

The Diaspora Summer School program is implemented in five directions, the Ministry press service informs. The classes will be held in Armenian and taught by well-known linguists and educators from Armenia and the Armenian diaspora.

Over 250 Diaspora Armenians had submitted applications to participate in this program, and 210 of them—instead of 100 participants initially planned—received the right to take part in these classes. The participants represent more than twenty-five countries.

Aside from the classes, the program participants will also attend cultural events, visit the historic and scenic sights of Armenia, and meet with state, public and cultural figures of the country.
