YEREVAN. – The results of the monitoring, which Armenian News-NEWS.am conducted in downtown of Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, show that the price of bread has not changed in Yerevan stores on Tuesday.  

About ten stores responded to our survey and informed that the price of bread is not increased. To note, however, this does not mean the weight of the bread is not reduced.   

The bread producers likewise stated that they have not increased the price of bread as of yet, but added that they are preparing to do this.

According to some information, however, the price of bread has started to rise in the regions of Armenia and in the suburbs of Yerevan.    

To note, natural gas and electricity have a large share in the cost price of bread production. And the recent hike in the price of gas and electricity supply in Armenia will inevitably increase the price of bread in the country.
