YEREVAN. – Vahe Hakobyan is appointed governor of Armenia’s Syunik Region.
Upon the proposal by the Ministry of Territorial Administration, the Government on Wednesday made the aforementioned appointment.
During the Cabinet session, PM Tigran Sargsyan stated that the members of the government know Hakobyan very well, since they are familiar with his public activities as an MP.
To note, Vahe Hakobyan is the son of Maksim Hakobyan, Director of Kajaran Copper-Molybdenum Plant. Also, he is a National Assembly and ruling Republican Party (RPA) member.
Upon the proposal by President and RPA leader Serzh Sargsyan, Vahe Hakobyan’s nomination was approved during the recent RPA board session.
