A road accident occurred Thursday in Armenia’s Vanadzor city.

A GAZ 53-model vehicle—driven by Vanadzor resident Artur Sahakyan, 32—and a VAZ 21074-model car—driven by Vanadzor resident Edik Sargsyan, 42—crashed, at around 9:30am, on the motorway leading from Vanadzor to Bazum village, the Armenian News-NEWS.am Lori regional reporter informs from the scene of the accident.

As a result, VAZ 21074 went off road and turned over. But there are no casualties or injured.

The drivers told the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter that the accident was caused by the cows that were crossing the road.

“I tried to avoid a cow, entered the opposite lane, [and] the GAZ 53 hit me at that time,” the VAZ 21074 driver said.

Both drivers complained that numerous such accidents take place due to carelessness and negligence by the shepherds.

Lori traffic police worked at the scene of the accident.
