YEREVAN. – The amount of non-commercial individual foreign transfers in Armenia increased and comes to $577.4 million in Jan-Jun 2013, statistical bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia informs.

Only in May Armenia received $140 million non-commercial individual foreign transfers, which is the highest figure in 2013 so far. Compared to Jan-Jun 2012, the amount of non-commercial individual foreign transfers increased by $150 million (35.2% increase).

In Jan-Jun 2013:

from Russia Armenia received $475 million and send $70 million non-commercial individual transfers.

from United States Armenia received $30.5 million and send $12.7 million non-commercial individual transfers.

Interestingly, the amount of incoming transfers from the United States remains the same compared to the similar period of 2012, while the amount of transfers from Armenia to the States increased by 20%, as a result, the net income from U.S. transfers to Armenia decreased from $19.8 million in 2012 to $17.8 million in 2013.
