YEREVAN. – The free economic zone (FEZ) will be launched on August 1 in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.
The aforesaid is noted in the Economy Ministry’s draft decision, on the launching permit, which is submitted to the Government. The matter is put on the agenda of Thursday’s Cabinet session.
Industrial production and technical applications electronics, precision engineering, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, Information Technology, alternative energy, production design, and telecommunications companies will receive the right to engage in activities in the zone.
The period for carrying out activities in the free economic zone is ten years.
