RA Transport and Communication Minister Gurgen Sargsyan attaches significance to North-South highway construction, expressing hope that the construction works will launch this year.

Today he received Asian Development Bank (ADB) delegation headed by Deputy Director General Werner Liepach, RA Transport and Communication Ministry press service informed NEWS.am.

The sides discussed reconstruction of rural roads under ADB assistance, expressing confidence that positive results will create a firm basis for implementation of future programs.

Sargsyan noted that Program Implementation Agency will be formed to organize construction of North-South highway.

Sargsyan and ADB delegation members also touched upon other ADB credit programs, particularly preparation works for North-South railway construction and possible options of co-financing.
