Mkrtich Minasyan noted that the ruling Republican Party of Armenia will give an adequate response to public opinion. According to him, the authorities must show a positive attitude toward active public perception and need to fix the mistakes.

As for the events taking place on Komitas Avenue, he said it is necessary to understand the origins of public discontent.

Construction of a high-rise began a few years ago. However, as a result of the protests of local residents, construction was suspended. The works resumed two weeks ago, which persuaded residents to continue picketing.

“If a building under construction does not meet sanitary and town planning regulations, it is necessary to show proper attitude. If this is just about the emotional perception, you need to prove people that no one’s rights are violated,” he said.
