YEREVAN. – The technologies of post-Soviet color revolutions were first used during the Karabakh movement in the late 1980s.
Political scientist Aleksander Manasyan stated the abovementioned Monday speaking in connection with the anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, or Artsakh.
“This political layer of the Artsakh incidents is not yet uncovered. But numerous political technologies, which are now widely used, first appeared at that time,” Manasyan noted.
He stated that very often the Armenians consider the 20th century as dark because of the Armenian Genocide, but it should not be forgotten that the two independent Armenian states—Armenia and Artsakh—were established much later in the same century.
Aleksander Manasyan added that the aforesaid is heroism twice over, since these states were created and they developed during the years of war and blockade.
