YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan issued a message of congratulations to Archbishop Pietro Parolin for being named Secretary of State for the Vatican. 

“I am convinced that the traditional friendly relations—which are anchored in Christian values—between the Republic of Armenia and the Holy See will continue to strengthen and expand further during your tenure.

“Wishing you success in carrying out your high and accountable mission, I ask you to accept the assurances of my deepest respect,” PM Sargsyan’s message states, in particular.
