YEREVAN. – In connection with the International Knowledge Day and the School Day in Armenia, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan visited the Anania Shirakatsi Seminary on Saturday.  

And on Monday, Ohanyan was hosted by the Mkhitar Sebastatsi educational complex.  

“We have passed a difficult road having achieved the independence and liberty of our country, [and] established peace. I hope that you always remember this and preserve our accomplishments. And knowledge is needed to preserve. Triumphs can solely be achieved through knowledge. Aside from education, the students also receive corresponding nurturing at schools,” the defense minister specifically said during his visit.   

He also spoke about the past, phases of development, and future projects of the Armenian Armed Forces.

Underscoring the link between the army and the school and the role of education in ensuring the security of the country, Seyran Ohanyan stated that all elementary schools in Armenia are attached to the Armed Forces military units.     

During his visits to the Anania Shirakatsi Seminary and the Mkhitar Sebastatsi educational complex, Armenia’s Minister of Defense also responded to questions posed by the students.
