YEREVAN. – Armenia will continue talks on construction of a new energy unit of the Metsamor NPP, Secretary of the National Security Council said.
Summing up the Thursday meeting of the Security Council, Arthur Baghdasaryan said they decided to work out an action plan in six months that is proceeding from the concept of Armenia’s energy security for 2014-17.
“Our two main goals are construction of a new energy unit and elaborating energy saving project,” he said.
Armenia plans to implement renewable energy projects, Baghdasaryan assured.
“We are planning to hold a number of events here, including the creation of conditions for the construction of new hydropower facilities,” Bagdasaryan noted.
