DIYARBAKIR. – The third great Holy Mass was celebrated Tuesday at Saint Giragos Armenian Church in Diyarbakir, Turkey, after the restoration of the church.

And following the Divine Liturgy, Diyarbakir Mayor Osman Baydemir and Archbishop Aram Ateshyan, Armenian Deputy Patriarch of Constantinople, together distributed meals to the Armenian pilgrims (PHOTOS).   

The mayors of Diyarbakir and Sur cities, who always attend the masses that are celebrated at the church, were there this time, as well, and in active interaction with the Armenian pilgrims, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from Diyarbakir.      

To note, Diyarbakir Municipality had covered a part of the restoration costs of Saint Giragos Church.
