YEREVAN. – A criminal case has been filed in connection with the beating of two activists on August 25, in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.
The criminal case was instituted on Tuesday—that is, sixteen days after the incident—, and an investigation is underway.
To note, several young men had approached activists Mihran Margaryan and Babken Ter-Grigoryan, on August 25 at around 1:30am, and asked whether or not they were participating in the sit-in being staged in front of Yerevan Municipality building. After hearing a positive response, these young men had begun beating the two activists.
