YEREVAN. – Accession to the Customs Union will give advantages to Armenia.
Transport and Communication Minister Gagik Beglaryan noted the aforesaid during a briefing with news reporters on Friday.
“Being an economist, I have worked in this direction quite a lot; joining [the Customs Union] may give a very positive economic advantage. But that is my subjective opinion,” Beglaryan added.
To note, following the talks that were held on September 3 in Moscow between Armenian and Russian Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin, Sargsyan had announced that Armenia plans to join the Customs Union and subsequently engage in the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union.
