YEREVAN. – The Armenian people have paid a very high price for the independence of the country, and I believe independence has not been given easily to any nation.
Secretary Styopa Safaryan of the opposition Heritage Party Board told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his words, the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh was the accomplishment of the 22 years of Armenia’s independence.
“[In addition,] the political institutions, to which we are obligated to convey the Constitutional soul, are formed in these years.
“At the same time, one cannot play with the country’s independence, as they are attempting to do in recent times, including by incorporating Armenia into a variety of unions,” Safaryan stressed.
To note, Armenia celebrates Independence Day on September 21.
