President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan paid working visits to Ararat and Vayots Dzor Regions.

In Ararat Region, the President visited the new kindergarten building of Ayntap village, got familiar with the conditions of this institution—which is envisioned for 144 children—, and inspected the construction work that was carried out.    

Next, Sargsyan visited the City of Vedi Cultural House, where the renovations are completed, and attended its official opening. During his tour of the cultural house, the President also attended the exhibition of the works by the painters of Vedi.   

Subsequently, Serzh Sargsyan headed to Vayots Dzor Region, where he got familiar with the course of an archaeological expedition’s ongoing excavation in Areni 1 Cave, and the present-day results of these activities. The experts stressed that the excavation results are important in terms of studying and assessing the initial phase of the civilizations that were formed within the boundaries of the Armenian uplands and Near Asia.
