YEREVAN. – Armenian MP Hrant Bagratyan on Wednesday submitted a bill offering to increase science spending for 2013-17.

He submitted the draft bill to the parliament’s standing committee on science and education.

The draft bill suggests setting science spending at one percent of the GDP of 2011 and further increasing spending during the next years. However, the bill was rejected by the Education Ministry.  

Later Hrant Bagratyan withdrew the bill for further discussion.
