YEREVAN. – Canada supports the Minsk process on finding settlement of Karabakh conflict and does not want to interfere with the process, MP Stéphane Dion said.

Stéphane Dion said his visit to Karabakh was his own initiative, explaining that he went there to learn about position of the refugees.

“I am aware of deep disagreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia on Karabakh. I was not aware of the black list. I think it is not reasonable,” he said speaking about Azerbaijan’s “black list.”

“It is not reasonable to isolate population from the rest humanity. I don’t think it is helpful,” he emphasized.

In any case, Stéphane Dion stressed that he did not want to create tension between Canada and Azerbaijan.
