YEREVAN. – Armenia’s customs system still is faced with many challenges, US Ambassador John Heffern said during a conference in Yerevan.

Ambassador Heffern said they continue to work with the State Revenue Committee, Finance Ministry and civil society for finding a solution to the problem.

As to Armenia’s decision to join the Customs Union, Heffern said Armenia is to make decisions, and “the United States, being a friendly partner, continue to work with Armenia.”

He recalled that Armenia is a member of the World Trade Organization and must fulfill its commitments.
