YEREVAN. – Military Prosecutor Gevorg Kostanyan paid a visit to the Armenian National Assembly (NA) on Friday, NA Information and Public Relations Department informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Kostanyan is holding talks with the NA factions.

To note, President Serzh Sargsyan on Thursday nominated to NA Kostanyan’s candidacy as the new Prosecutor General of Armenia.

Pursuant to Armenia’s law, the National Assembly appoints, with the President’s proposal, the Prosecutor General of the country for a six-year term. But the same person cannot be appointed Prosecutor General for more than two consecutive terms.
