YEREVAN. – Declaring an amnesty is a positive decision, MP from opposition  Heritage party said.  

“My only hope is that convicted activist Tigran Arakelyan would be released under an amnesty. I think no one doubts that Arakelyan is not guilty, and he must be released,” MP Tevan Poghosyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Monday submitted to the National Assembly the proposal to declare amnesty in Armenia, and on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the declaration of the country’s independence.
