YEREVAN. – A total of 45.7 million eggs were produced in Armenia in August 2013, and this number is 3.6-percent less than that in August of last year, informs the National Statistical Service.
To note, between August and September of the current year, the egg prices rose in the country, and the reduction in egg production likewise played a part in this fact.
Thus, about 16 eggs per month are produced in Armenia per capita.
To note, doctors advise adults to eat 21 to 22 eggs per month.
