YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan on Saturday paid a working visit to Vayots Dzor region to participate in the work of the third forum of village communities being held in Jermuk.

The forum is focused on problems of local self-government bodies, projects carried out in Armenia’s regions. The event brought together officials, representatives of local authorities, experts as well as representatives of international organizations carrying out projects in the regions.

The participants exchanged views on reforms aimed at promoting efficient governance. President Sargsyan noted that the locals must feel tangible results of the reforms directed at improvement of living conditions, high quality education and healthcare.  

President Sargsyan visited construction site of Jermuk Resort to get acquainted with the ongoing works.
