YEREVAN. – It is natural that some of my colleagues may not have similar questions.

Zaruhi Postanjyan—who is Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party National Assembly Faction Secretary and member of Armenia’s NA delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE)—stated the aforesaid during a press conference on Monday.

The MP, however, did not wish to comment on the criticisms and the insults that are made against her because of her statement at PACE.

“We have one challenge: to isolate [Armenia’s President] Serzh Sargsyan, who heads the criminal group [in the country],” Postanjyan added.

To the query as to whether or not she is surprised by the fact that the opposition had united against her because of her question posed to Sargsyan at the PACE session, Zaruhi Postanjyan responded:

“The body politic was probably surprised by the demeanor of the opposition.”

To note, during the question and answer session at the PACE plenary session in Strasbourg, France, on October 2, Zaruhi Postanjyan had asked Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan the following question:

“You have appeared here [in the PACE session] not by the will of the people, but [rather] as a consequence of organized crime, the theft of the Armenian people’s vote. Therefore you cannot de jure represent the will and right of the Armenian people. [So,] I’ll give you another question. Have you been to a casino in Europe and lost 70 million euros there? And who paid that amount in your stead?”
