ALEPPO. – Syrian government forces managed to liberate several villages in the outskirts of Aleppo, thus opening the way for trucks carrying food and fuel. This was reported by the National Primacy of Aleppo of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Besides, telephone and internet service have been restored after a 40-day break starting from August 29. Telephone service was working only in the city, and it was amost impossible to connect with other regions of Syria and other countries.
Overall 60-70 thousands Armenians were residing in Syria before the bloody events. More than half of them lived in Aleppo and the other half was scattered in the cities of Latakia, Homs, Qamishli, Hasaka, Raqqah, Kessab and, of course, the capital - Damascus.
