YEREVAN. – The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the direction of Armenia’s Tavush Region is normal, stated Armenian Defense Minister’s Press Secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan.
Hovhannisyan told the aforesaid at Armenian News-NEWS.am’s request to comment on the current situation after the wounding of an Armenian resident.
To note, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces had fired shots, on October 12 at noon, in the direction of the peaceful civilians that were working in the vineyards of Armenia’s Nerkin Karmiraghbyur village.
As a result, Navur village resident Hayk Kosakyan was wounded.
At present, he is at Berd city hospital.
Kosakyan, 30, is a police officer.
Hayk Kosakyan had gone to the vineyards of the neighboring village to purchase grapes.
