YEREVAN. – Well-known actor and comedian Vardan Petrosyan, who was involved in a road accident, underwent surgery.

Representatives from Armenian capital city Yerevan’s Erebuni Medical Center told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to the information, Petrosyan’s spleen had ruptured, but his injury is not life-threatening. The actor is kept at the intensive care department.    

To note, a major accident occurred Sunday in Kotayk Region. 

A BMW and a VAZ 2121-model vehicle crashed at around 9:20pm on the Yeghvard-Yerevan motorway, Shamshyan.com reports.

As a result, seven people sustained injuries and were transferred to several hospitals.

Those gathered at the scene of the accident had informed the photo journalist that famous actor and comedian Vardan Petrosyan was among the injured, and the ambulance staff had taken him from Yeghvard Medical Center to Yerevan.
